Glenwood Springs is located at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers. Originally named Defiance, Glenwood Springs became famous in the early 20th century when Teddy Roosevelt discovered the Hot Springs and Hotel Colorado, and now the area is a famous place to come and heal.
